Indian tourist demands progress report on recent Pattaya robbery

PATTAYA: -- Mr Rajat Bagga, a 36-year-old Indian national, went to Pattaya police station to ask about progress in a case which took place on 9 August in which he was robbed of valuables by a Beach Road ladyboy. Mr Bagga brought along a fuzzy picture of the person he claimed he had met on Beach Road while out for stroll. He proffered this to the police and asked that they concentrate all possible resources into finding this person as he has to return to India on Sunday. He told officers that after meeting the ladyboy he suggested they go back to his hotel room. Mr Bagga said they purchased a beer to help loosen up any inhibitions but he said he couldn’t remember anything after drinking the beer. He said he woke up the next day at around midday and discovered he had lost a 2-baht weighted gold chain, 8,000 baht in cash, a watch, and a mobile phone.
