cowslip
You can use it in some curries, specifically Yellow Curry and Massaman. Other than that, french fries is a good option. Massaman curry is a fine example of thai food with the humble spud! Massaman curry is Indian food. "Massaman" - means muslim - it is a transliteration attempt at the word "mussulman" - so it's origins are probably muslim and from the Indian sub-continent rather than S.E. Asia. Of course it would not have included pork. However all regions have recipes adapted from other countries or cultures from within or without their own borders. However their are two main families of cuisine in the world - Chinese and Turkish - almost all cooking is descended from either one "school" or the other. In that sense "massaman" would be Turkish in origin. both Malaysia and Burma would cook similar dishes. AussieTrent
My wife boils them in coconut mllk with sugar... quite tasty, she likes them like that but also loved them when I roasted them for her. Anything baked or roasted raises her interest, I think because ma & po never owned an oven just one of those burners atop the gas bottle.
