Anywhere anyone can recommend as some good places to look for work outside of Bangkok. What about Isaan? Khon Kaen? Ubon? Udon? Buriram? Or the islands and down south? Hat Yai? Ko Samui? Ko Phuket? Fed up with Bangkok. Sheesh!

There are plenty of jobs outside of Bkk advertised on Ajarn. In fact one, AmeriThai, has readvertised and someone from there even phoned me to ask me whether I wanted a job.

They're down in Surat Thani, a very nice area I believe and close to the islands.

So, give Ajarn a try

Why are you fed up with Bangkok? Just curious.

There seem to be lots of teaching jobs outside of Bkk. Isan is my first choice. My girlfriend lives in Khon Kaen. :o

There is a thread on ajarn forum about it. suspiciously sounds like a company to avoid.

me too...

When I first came here, I made it a point to not work in Bangkok. Working a few years outside of Bangkok. Then, I thought I wanted to live in Bangkok, and have been here for a few years...Now I realize I want to go back to the provinces....Cheaper cost of living, cleaner, quieter.

cheers

I’ve lived in provincial towns before. Be warned unless you’re close to somewhere that has some western amenities life can get really boring (except if you’re into doing the whole Thai language/culture scenario).

Hi.

I taught just outside Hua Hin last year and lived near the town. Nice place to live, not to big but plenty of Western ameneties ,bars, nightlife, expat life. There are quite a few schools in and around town as well. Anyway I would recommend it if you're looking for something outside of Bangkok but still want some of the comforts.
