Has anyone renewed their extension of stay based on retirement at Chang Wattana Immigration Office recently ?

I always have my pension document certified by the British Embassy each year and have had no issues.

I think I read a few months ago that some immigration offices are asking for proof that the pension is brought into Thailand.

Mine is split between UK and Thailand so I only bring in what I need for living on, upcountry only about 500K THB is needed.

Are they asking to see the full 850K brought into Thailand, or will my pension document suffice as usual.

Any help greatfully appreciated,

Thanks.

No they are not asking to see any such thing and have not seen any report of any immigration office doing so. It is not a requirement by law or policy. What might be asked is supporting documents (like many show Embassy) that there is a pension/income source; but even that is the exception.
