its dangerous to put the country in this sort of peoples hand

i can feel the "change" coming.....Thai only......

I have a long tradition with tis country.....but never had this guts" feeling that we are in for chaos.

Chalarm a the helm..........i am reconsidering my position in the Kingdom.

Use your office to strengthen the reds: Jatuporn
Key Red Shirts pledge: no political favouritism

It's tragic to see a country put in the hands of people like this.

I feel the same. After 20 years here, I am starting seriously to look at options that do not involve Thailand.

Time for us unwanted farang rats to abandon ship.

This is all going to end in war and blood

Sadly, I think this is what will happen. Once Thaksin is brought back, forgiven, declared innocent, etc., the Red Shirts will become like Hitler's Youth - there to protect him and carry out his dirty work. The courts will declare the Red Shirts innocent regarding the violence and deaths in 2010, and send Aphisit, Suthep, and Army folks to jail. The Red Shirts will oppose violently the resulting and increasing opposition to Thaksin and the Red Shirts. Street violence will become a regular occurrence next year. "Miracle Thailand"!

Couldn't agree more, which is why my family and I have been getting rid of our assets in this Banana Republic and are getting the hell out. Countdown is on under three months before we are back to the real world can't come soon enough for us. What a complete total cluster <deleted> this country is, in every possible way, from the ground on up anyone that can't see that is just so blinded to the reality of what is going on so nothing will ever get through to them. Good luck to those of you that stay and try to work through it, I don't see it ending well for the country in general and those of you that are NOT Thai will have it end worse than that...

Interesting to note that it seems as if the greater majority of the T.V.F Thaksin and Red Shirt proponents seem to have upped sticks and left already, they are. indeed conspicuous by their absence in this particular thread.

One can only but presume those proponents are seeing the truth at last in all its ugly facets.

Never too late to learn is it .

Of the 91 cases raised by the people against the authorities in connection with the last year's unrest, the Department of Special Investigation concluded the reports on 13 cases which are still under the prosecution review, he said. In contrast every case involving the red-shirt leaders are now in the prosecution stage at various courts, he added.

If this is the case, then that is an amazing fact.

"The people" brought cases against the authorities for the soldiers killed by red shirts too????

MP Plays Down Govt Jobs for Red-shirt Figures

A Pheu Thai MP says he believes the allocation of Cabinet ministers' secretarial and advisory posts to key red-shirt elements will not spark a rift in the government.

Pheu Thai MP for Nakhon Phanom Paijit Sriworakhan admitted that the appointments of red-shirt core figures to the posts of ministers' secretaries and advisers did disappoint some MPs in his faction, which is dominated by those from the Northeast, and that they have raised the issue with him.

However, Paijit said the assignment of secretarial and advisory jobs to those red-shirt elements was not out of the ordinary and that it would cause no problem within the administration.

Paijit said he believes that at least 8 or 9 Pheu Thai MPs from the Northeast will be named chairpersons of House committees.

Paijit said that his appointment as the government whip chief will be determined by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and his party's seniors.

He said the qualifications of the person that will be selected for the job should be on par with the Opposition counterpart.

Meanwhile, Democrat MP for Phitsanulok Warong Dejwikrom asked the government to clarify the details on the continuation of the rice price guarantee program implemented by the previous administration as farmers are waiting to for concrete information.

He advised the government to follow the previous administration's policy of providing 5,000 baht in relief fund to each flood-affected family.

Warong expressed doubt how the Bang Rakam Model will be able to tackle flood problems and urged the premier and the government to provide more details about its procedures.

Meanwhile, two of Pheu Thai new party-list MPs, Danuporn Punnakan and Yuranant Pamornmontri, reported for duty at Parliament.

The two are replacements for Banthoon Supakhawanich and Police Lieutenant General Chaj Kuldilok, who resigned as party-list MPs to take ministerial posts.

Earlier today, members of the Association of Motorcycle Taxi Drivers gathered at the Parliament House to file a petition asking the prime minister to take action against crime syndicates that squeeze kickbacks from them and operate unregistered motorcycle taxi services.

So does that mean they see the opposition as the desired benchmark?

Why does it appear to be only farangs that are able to see the inherent danger that now faces this country? The writing is so clearly written on the wall and yet the local population just do not seem to perceive the threat, and if they do they are doing very little about it. Jutaporn is a particularly dangerous character, as is anybody who is allowed to place themselves above the law. Lets make no mistake about it, Thaksin is absolutely intent on establishing his dynasty here and it is simply a matter of timing. Not if, but when. A famous Enoch Powell saying looks on the agenda for this country. What to do? Thai wife and a loving close family, two small children and I really hate the thought of going back to the UK? Guess it is down to build a shelter and buy some guns, because there is a great potential for trouble on the horizon and it will perhaps happen in the not so distant future at a time of great change..

Where is the sharpshooter who taught Seh "khwai" Daeng a lesson, when you need him most?

Why asked? Can't guess?

He is with his god, that is where he is now B)

Simple

Because it is Thailand where money can buy everything B)

If one doesn't have enuff money to buy his way around in Thailand, one should go and live in a country that one who is poor can live peacefully :D

Oh, I am quite sure that many Thais do accept a payment in gold if no cash. Quite straight forward really, when there is no bread, just eat cake. No problemo :whistling:

Does that mean that you want to defend the red shirt intimidation, but don't like so many responses asking you to justify your position?

It's Thaksin's red army until he can also manage to completely turn around the regular army as he was about to accomplish before the coup. PTP, a move towards democracy, sure thing ...

(Thugocracy, more like it.)

I see similarities to some messed up countries in Africa, with strong men with private armies.

And the mobilization of the rural masses.................sounds similar to a similar event in a neighbouring country some decades ago :realangry:.

Natthawut, Jatuporn to host TV talk shows

Pheu Thai MP Natthawut Saikua on Wednesday said he and his fellow MP Jatuporn Promphan would hold separate talk shows aired by Asia Update TV, a satellite television station seen as close to the red shirts.

"I hope our two talk shows will keep us in touch with the people," Natthawut said.

He said the shows would start next month.

He voiced hope for expanding mass support for the red-shirt movement.

He will host "Fa Wong Lom" (Breaking the Encirclement) program and Jatuporn's show is named "Lom Hai Jai Thi Mai Phae" (Undefeated Breath).

Funny how the conspiracy information was obtained through the "UDD's intelligence network" according to Jatuporn.

:cheesy:

So that's when the pogroms begin? Clearly these people are playing a regional game that stretches beyond Thailand's borders. Besides the instigator in chief, who I think is probably just working as a JV partner for others, one wonders who the real paymasters are. Probably China I'd guess.

No It means that I am tired of any post or point of view which dares to see anything other than evil in any of the current governements actions being met with abuse, scorn and accusations of stupidity, deceit, dishonesty, fascist sympathy and even on one recent occasion accusations of being a paedophile. True that one was removed by the mods, but the effect remains. Meaningfull debate has been closed down, and even the ability or desire to express an opinion has been removed. I and I suspect many others have had enough. And the ultimate irony, those responsible are always harping on about democracy!

Perhaps red-leader MPs might use their new positions & power, to ensure that the government doesn't renege on its firm pre-election promise for an immediate universal national minimum-wage of 300B/day ? Or perhaps not ... <_<

No, He, I and probably others have had enough of the hatefest. I alluded in one post to the 7 stages of grief and ascertained that many posters were suffering and currently in the "hate' stage. I suspected it would be going on for a while. What I did not expect was the intensity. There are pages of posts by posters like yourself just upping the ante each time. It really can't be healthy to to have all that hate.

Really? Like getting your son off of a murder charge with multiple witnesses? You mean like that? Just like what the guy who is now second in command did. You mean like that? And yet you ask why we don't believe these people will do the right thing? laugh.gif
