Good Area To Have A House In Khon Kaen City?

Hi all,

This is a question for people who live / have lived in Khon Kaen or know / have opinions about the different housing estate areas over there.

We plan to buy a house close to KK center this year with a longer term plan to move there permanently / semi-permanently in few years time. My wife is Thai from Isaan and we have been married for 15 years. We have visited KK many times but don't know the suburbs that well.

Basically I'd like to hear peoples first hand experiences like "Every rainy season our road floods and it's a nuicance", "Water supply in our estate is always good and plentiful" and so on. Or hopefully there are people who can say "Our neigborhood is absolutely perfect", that would help us too.

And don't forget to tell what area you talk about!

Many thanks for your commants,

Ode

I live in Pimanchon 2 which is a development about 4kms from centre of Khon Kaen. Its near Bung Kaen Nakhon lake. Very pleasant area to live in. Yesterday there were minor floods in town centre due to drains not being able to cope with a totrrential downpour. Not a big problem. Back to normal by about 8pm

I might even be interested in selling my own house so if you want to know more about Pimanchon or Khon Kaen personal message me.

I take it that land there is a bit pricey?
