Dowry Payment ?

I'm gonna pay dowry I told my girl , i'm gonna ship 200 cows to Bkk from East Africa, thats how we pay dowry back home. She said i dont have pay dowry. I see dowry as a symbolic gesture, its sad if it has degenerated to a blatant cash grab in Thailand.
