Transport From Swampy

Featured Replies

I am comming to Pattaya in November before I head back north, am just wondering about transport from Swampy, bus, taxi any advice please.... Cheers

We've used Mr. T many times, as have many other members on TV. I think the rate is 1100B or so from the airport to Central Pattaya. His driver meets you at a designated place with a placard that has your name on it. Great service. I will PM you his email address.

We prefer this to taking a chance with one of the taxis from the stand there.

I was going to recommend the Bell Travel Service for cheap door to door transport but the rates have increased hugely recently.

So the airport bus for 124B seems the best bet to me.

If I return late at night I always use Mr. Taxi. Really excellent safe drivers and all tollway costs are included in the fare.

???

From their web site, it appears to be B200 each way between the BKK airport and Pattaya:

- 200 baht per person paid to our staff upon boarding the coach.

- This price includes a drop-off service to your hotel (available only within our service area).

It aqll depends on your timing . . .

Busses run from about 7 or 8 in the moriing to aobut 9 at night. Airport busses just drop you off on the main road, but is the lowest price.

Bell is a good service and takes you right to you hotel, or in my case my home, but again what time do you get in (remember to add time for immigrations and bags

The Airports of Thailand have taxis but I think it is 2500 - 3200 depending on car they use

Many gypsy taxis and good luck with that. I have been let out half way before.

Meeter taxis are really hard to get to use the meter, if they do it is around 700 bt but most will ask for 1400+ and I think is a crime the airport lets happen

Personally I have a man named "Wit" who picks me up at all hours and drive me home with al toll way charges for 800 Bt.

Pattaya to BKK is less of a problem

You are right. I was reading the Bangkok/Pattaya price which for some reason was coming up instead.

I thought that 200B => 350B was a big increase in one go.
