Koh Samet Advice Sought

Featured Replies

Hello,

I will be arriving in Pattaya mid Nov to mid Dec with a group of mates from work, we always have a great time, however I have never been anywhere else (I can't get them out of the Beach rd, 2nd rd, Mermaid Rdbt, Walking Street rectangle). So this time I am determined to have a short break somewhere else, and Koh Samet seems to fit the bill.

Can anyone recommend a beach/accommodation (800bht-1200bht per night for three nights), I have used the search engine but need something specific to me, I want to laze on a nice beach reading a book during the day, and as I will be on my own need a place with a bar or two for the evening (don't want to go stir crazy), obviously will need somewhere to eat as well, any advice would be most welcome, and lastly where to arrange this from Pattaya. Thanks for taking the time to read this,

Lou. :o

Have you tried looking at this thread

HERE

get your mates down to koh samet. it's an easy trip down there with the minibus that picks up from any hotel in pattaya and delivers you straight to the pier to samet. Last I knew it cost 150B.

Thanks all, that was quick! plenty of food for thought there, hiring a mini bus sounds like a great idea but I struggle to get them to come to Jomtien never mind Koh Samet, they are frightened they will miss out on something, and it's their holiday as well so I have to respect that, anyway thanks again,
