Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has launched a promotional campaign with special fares in economy class for travel originating from Bangkok to many European destinations. THAI also launched its “I Fly THAI to Brussels” campaign with special fares to promote its new destination and direct flight from Bangkok to Brussels.

Mr. Pandit Chanapai, THAI Executive Vice President of the Commercial Department, said that THAI launched the promotional campaign to boost travel to various European destinations.

- Munich 37,750 baht*

- London 39,910 baht*

- Zurich 36,395 baht*

- Madrid 35,335 baht*

- Paris 37,285 baht*

- Rome 35,615 baht*

- Milan 35,850 baht*

- Copenhagen 35,625 baht*

- Stockholm 35,490 baht*

- Oslo 35,385 baht*

- Athens 35,600 baht*

- Moscow 34,385 baht*

- Johannesburg 32,135 baht*

* These are starting prices for roundtrip tickets in economy class that include airport tax and other surcharges, whereby prices will differ based on foreign exchange rate on the date of ticket issuance.

Passengers may purchase roundtrip tickets at promotional prices and begin travel starting today until 31 October 2011, except for roundtrip travel on the route Bangkok-Johannesburg whereby travel may commence today until 30 September 2011.

In addition, THAI is offering a special fare in economy class for roundtrip travel to its new destination on the route Bangkok-Brussels that starts 17 November 2011. The Company is offering the following promotional fare in Economy Class under the campaign “I Fly THAI to Brussels”:

- Roundtrip travel from Bangkok-Brussels, prices start at 35,880 baht.

- Travel from Bangkok-Brussels and return from any other THAI destination in Europe back to Bangkok, or travel from Bangkok to other THAI destinations in Europe and return on the route Brussels-Bangkok at starting price of 42,015 baht.

Passengers are able to purchase tickets at special “I Fly THAI to Brussels” promotional prices starting today to 29 February 2012 and may commence travel beginning 17 November 2011 until 29 February 2012.

Tickets purchased as special prices under the special promotional campaign and “I Fly THAI to Brussels” campaign will be valid for 21 days from the day that travel begins. No changes are allowed, under any circumstances, to these special promotional campaign tickets after ticket has been issued.

In this case "promotional campaign" doesn't mean "We've discounted the airfares", it means "If we can sell enough tickets at these high prices, we'll get promoted."
