I could use some of y'alls help on this...

A friend has agreed to bring me a GPS unit from the States so I'm narrowing down my choices...

Saw this great price for a TomTom with liftime traffic and map updates:

Wanted to know the following:

1) Will the lifetime traffic updates for this unit work in Bangkok? If so, how well?

2) Will the hacked/free TomTom maps for Thailand have Thai language features for the POIs and streets, etc?

3) Can I get the user interface to have both Thai and English language with download or would I have to pay a shop?

4) Would I be better off going with Garmin ONLY in regards to the Thai/English language user interface and POIs (not the traffic stuff).

5) Is this unit comparable to the TomTom app for the iPhone 4 in regards to traffic avoidance?
