Hey everyone,

I've been reading related threads but it seems all info is already obsolete. So, I have a few questions:

I'm out of Thailand for more than 2 months already and I have two double entry visas (Zagreb, Croatia + Vientienne, Laos) and two extensions in my passport.

My current location is Makassar, Indonesia and I have two options for getting a new Thai visa:

1. SINGAPORE

Although, I prefer double entry, I am aware it is not possible to get in Singapore, but remembering what I've read so far... it seems that even single entry is questionable sometimes. I will not have problems with minimum 30 days for re-entry, but my concerns are:

- do I really have to have returning/onward ticket? (this is the most recent info I've found)

- is evidence of sufficient funds really a must or just a formality on their webiste?

- how long does it take to get a visa (this is important to calculate the expenses of accomodation)

If I can get visa in Singapore, that would be better financial option for me, but if there will be any problems or even risk of not getting the visa (I cannot provide them with evidence of sufficient funds), I am thinking of going back to Bali (spent previous 2 months there), so again the questions:

2. BALI

- is it possible to get a double entry there?

- do I need returning/onward ticket?

(I am aware there are cheap flights out of BKK, but I am on a veeery tight budget at the moment and would like to avoid any unnecessary expenses)

Thanks in advance

P.S. After I receive answers from embassies previous mentioned, I would update this thread, and of course... I would write my experiences once I get my visa done with all the info which can be useful.

OK, here's an update. My friend was just visiting Royal Thai Consulate in Bali today (one hour ago). Here's what they told her:

They can issue tourist visas and the fee is $35 per entry, BUT after Monday, September 26, the price will be slightly higher ($40).

Supposedly, they are able and willing to issue double entry TV.

They are asking for return/onward ticket, but no one mentioned evidence of sufficient funds.

Time to process the visa is 3 working days.

So, this is very fresh info from a word of mouth (a friend who I highly trust).

I will update this thread as soon as I hear something new, and of course... I will write about my experiences after my visa is done.

Hope this helps.

However, I would really appreciate if anyone can give me an answer to the question about Thai Embassy In Singapore:

- do they really require evidence of sufficient funds ($1000 per person) for single entry TV?

- is it true that passport can be picked up the next day or you actually have to wait 2-3 working days?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Feel free to update this thread with recent and fresh info as well.
