47 provinces warned of flash floods, landslides

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department (DPMD) Friday warned people in 47 provinces to brace for possible flash floods and landslides in the coming days.

"People in risky areas such as areas next to natural flood ways must watch out," DPMD director general Wiboon Sanguanpong said.

He said the risks in those provinces would be present till tomorrow (Sep25).

The 47 provinces were Mae Hong Son, Lamphun, Lampang, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Phetchabun, Uttaradit, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Nong Bua Lamphun, Loei, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Beung Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Kalasin, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Amnat Charoen, Yasothon, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Buri Ram, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Nakhon Nayok, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi and Trang.
