mja1906
Glad that there is a new Marriage forum, thank you for all of your wonderful help so far. I will definitely post details of my experience, once I successfully complete the marriage registration process! Another quick question- On the 'Affirmation of Freedom to marry Form' from UK consulate, what would be the best thing to put for 'Occupation and income' I am British female national, marrying a Thai National I have been living in Thailand for the past few years and am lucky enough to have property in the UK, from which I earn rental income which allows me to stay in Thailand, and my fiance is a tour guide, and I sometimes help him with English stuff here Thanks,
Mario2008
It really doesn't matter. You occupation or income is no grounds for denying you to get married. They are just nosy. A female maried to a Thai antional doesn't need to show any income for an extension of stay from immigration anyway.
7by7
Why not simply put "Landlord//lady with rental income" or "Non employed with independent means" or just "unemployed" or similar?

Thanks, Landlord/lady is a good idea ! I didn't want to put 'unemployed' or 'no income' as I thought that might look bad, even though I know that in Thai culture the wife is not really expected to contribute financially
