JAKARTA, INDONESIA (BNO NEWS) -- The Indonesian suicide bomber who attacked a protestant church in Central Java on Sunday has been identified as a wanted terrorist, authorities said on Tuesday.

Indonesian National Police spokesman Major General Anton Bachrul Alam said that fingerprint and DNA tests revealed that the suicide bomber was Pino Damayanto who used the alias Achmad Yosepa Hayat and Ahmad Urip, the Jakarta Globe reported. His residence was registered in Cirebon, West Java.

Damayanto was a wanted terrorist and bomb maker linked to other terrorist attacks, including one against the Cirebon Police. According to police, he has also been linked to Jemaah Ansharut Tauhid, Sogir and terrorist mastermind Azhari Azar.

On Sunday, Damayanto's suicide attack targeted the Bethel Injil Sepenuh Church, located in the city of Solo, Central Java. At least 24 people were injured, but no fatalities were reported besides that of the suicide bomber. Solo is not know to have internal conflicts, either ethnic or religious.
