Tourist Police chief warns Pattaya tourist businesses against scamming tourists

PATTAYA: -- The head of Thailand’s national Tourist Police warned Pattaya business owners that law enforcement will be keeping them under closer watch amid increasing reports of scams against tourists.

At a Sept. 20 meeting at the Camelot Hotel with retailers, tour operators and other tourist-centric businesses, Maj. Gen. Adis Ngamchitsuksri said the Pattaya Tourist police is working with local businesses to remind them that cheating visitors harms the city’s image and, in the end, their business.
