I was out of country and just returned a couple of weeks ago and have always been under the impression that my 90 day report on my 1 yr 'supporting Thai spouse' visa I didn't have to report to imigration for 90 days after arrival back in country. Is this true?/ and am I stating my situation correctly?? or should I go to Imigration to confirm??

I only have my departure card stappled to my passport.

Thanks in advance.....

With a multiple entry non-immigrant visa you must leave the country every 90 days so no need for 90 day reporting.

Only if you are on 1-year extension of stay from immigrations in Thailand you must do 90 day reporting.

If you are on a one year extension of stay from immigration and obtained a multi re-entry permit and used that for entry a 90 day report is due in 90 days (day of entry is day 1).

If you are using a multi entry non immigrant O visa you can never stay longer than 90 days without an extension so 90 day reports would not be required.

As said with a Multi Entry Visa you are never in the country for 90 days.

With an Extension of Stay you report to Immigration after 90 days continuous in the Country.

If you leave and return the 90 days start again.

Thanks guys......I am on the 1 yr 'extension of stay' with multi entry and not the 90 day visa. So, I can just start the clock ticking on my arrival date and add 90 days before I have to dutifully check in with my friends in uniform??

And if I make another trip out of country before 90 days [even a short border hop in Maesai]......my clock starts ticking again??

It is a great relief that with a multi entry, I can put off the 90 day check in by simply making a trip up in Maesai or Vientien. That 90 day nussance of a chore.....having to state where I was living altho I have kept the same address for 8 yrs always rubbed me the wrong way. Made me feel like a prisoner and I now feel free after being on a chain for the last 8 yrs.....

thanks again guys.
