RDN
From Phuket Gazette: http://www.phuketgazette.net/forthweek/news.asp#6 (I doubt this link will stay unchanged for long). HRH visits wat, tsunami victims, opens factoryPHUKET: HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived in Phuket on October 26 to take part in a Tod Kathin ceremony, during which people donated money to Wat Luang Phu Supa in Chalong. The wat is the residence of Abbot Luang Phu Supa who, at 111 years of age, is the oldest abbot on the island. My g/f went to see the abbot 4 years ago when - according to her - he was "nearly 100 years old".

The thai queen was so touched by the story she bought him a new boat. Worth a look,It would have been nice if they had sub titled it in english You see so few nice human interest stories in Thailand.
