Hi,a mate of mine said that if he could find cheap flights to Bangkok from London over the Christmas period would i go with him...(cheap meaning 500 quid or less)i said yeah ok.He called me yesterday to say he's booked 2 flights too Bangkok with out even confiming with me.When i asked how much and where do we stop he replied 486 quid all in and we stop at Moscow......oh and we fly from Moscow to Bangkok by Prop-Plane!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Has anyone done this before and what the F$*K is it like???????????????????????

Do you know specificly the type of aircraft? The only prop jobs I could think of that would make that trip would be some of the Antonov or Ilyusin cargo haulers. Maybe they take a few passengers to pick up extra revenue?

Ask your friend what aircraft is listed on the itinerary and post back.

Antonov makes several models of turbo-prop passenger aircraft. But generally they are for short haul flights (~2000km) and carry around 50 passengers (Antonov-140). Seems strange to to use a turbo-prop for such a long distance. In the US I have flown in turbo-props several times in the mid of winter and they are warm enough but they are really loud and wouldn't want to fly several hours in one.
