I don't want to appear pessimistic and I would definitely talk to the PR desk at CW to get latest interpretation but I recall a poster in the Camerata thread saying that some years ago now he tried to apply under the humanitarian category based on his Thai wife's 30K salary with no WP but CW insisted that he needed a job and a WP regardless of the wording of the requirements. He went back with a Thai lawyer who insisted that they accept his application since there is no requirement to be working yourself, if your Thai spouse has the 30k income in her own name. They apparently accepted the application with extremely ill grace but the poster never posted again. So we never found out what happened to his application. Unfortunately since PR is up to the discretion of the minister, they don't need to give the real reasons for rejections. Other people about the same time were also told by CW not to apply under the humanitarian category, unless they had the 30k in their own name with WP.
