I am thinking about moving to Ranong or Phang Nga (possibly Surat Thani). I am having a difficult time finding out about these areas; especially housing. I would be most appreciative if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Basically, I need a place to stay; it can be a guesthouse or apartment. I do not want to pay more than 5000 Baht a month and would prefer being in a more quiet area (not on a main road).

Additionally, are there many vegetarian restaurants?
