Hello TV members, I was hoping someone could give me an idea of what contracts are available for mobile phones and which ones have the best service etc. I have an iphone 4 so want internet access and a decent signal with it would be nice. I am currently using a DTAC pay as you go sim and have to annoyingly turn the phone off and on to use the internet - I am not impressed with this. Thanks for you help

Umm why do you have to turn the phone off and on?

Dtac have some of the most competitive Iphone packages available. bundled calls and internet etc. Also if you have a long term visa / wp they are the easiest to get post pay (monthly billed not prepay)

also where are you? none of the networks offers nationwide 3 g yet.

To turn the internet on I send a *# message, then restart the phone and the nternet is active. To turn off I just send another *# message. Not sure why this is necessary and it is annoying. I do not think I can get 3G using the DTAC sim i have only an E symbol. I am based in Bangkok and will be getting a WP in a month or two.

Thanks for your help

Truemove H might offer the best post-paid all-in plans for the iPhone user? I do not believe you need to provide any residency documents (like a Work Permit), based on some first-hand reports here. The Free-Size plan might be good for you?

Provided you have coverage, have subscribed to a data plan and have configured your phone properly you should be able to get 3G with DTAC.

well surely. You can leave it active and just turn off "mobile data" in the phone menu. At least you can do that on a Android phone. it would seem as if you need to set your phone up.. is it set for 2G only?

Any idea where a Truemove English language website is?
