Roads Open From Suwamapumphi To Pattaya ?

wife and baby are flying into bkk on 26th oct. she wants to go to pattaya on that day for a break and to visit friends for maybe 1-2 days then she will need to go to khon kaen after that, will roads be open around airport ? i think taxi,s will be getting the arm in now on their fares from swampy to pattaya etc. wondering would she be better getting taxi straight to morchit bus terminal then again is there access ? bus companies will surely be operating as they wont be wanting to lose money.

i wish i was going with my wife and daughter but i have to work so forgive me for asking too many questions about this as i need her to know what to do before she arrives in bkk.
