$A passes 105 US cent after Eurozone deal

The Australian dollar has passed the 105.00 US cent mark forthe first time since September 9.

The local unit has risen more than one US cent since it wasannounced that European leader made a breakthrough in coming to a resolution totheir government debt crisis.

The Australian currency was at 105.20 US cents by 1621 AEDT,up from 104.12 cent at midday before the deal was announced.

The Australian dollar ended the local session on Wednesdayat 103.74 US cents.

European leaders clinched the deal to pull the eurozone fromthe brink by convincing banks to take a 50-per cent writedown on Greek debt andincreasing their bailout fund to one trillion euros.
