Taxi Cost

My wife and I have been quoted a transfer cost of over 10,000 Baht from Phuket airport to Ao Nang. I thought this to be expensive. What would be the cost of a taxi ?

10,000 bht that is a joke we can get taxi from phuket airport to our resort in ao nang for 2000 bht we just had 4 customers turn up from Phuket yesterday they were quoted 3500 and haggled it down to 2500 bht, so you want to be lookin at 2-3000 bht depending how well you can haggle I would walk away from the 10,000 bht quote just because they are taking the piss.

Just noticed original op says over 10,000 bht must be a quote for flying phuket-bkk-krabi would be around 10,000 bht for two people.
