Evaporated Milk?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if evaporated milk is available in Bangkok? Can only find condensed milk

Thanks

None available in Bangkok. Tried many shops in the central district.

It has all evaporated!

Thanks Is this because of the low stocks due to flooding, or is it normally not available?

Surely the milk in the Carnation tins with red labels is evaporated.

Carnation make Evaporated milk and Condensed Milk (condensed Milk is sweet, evaporated isn't) but not sure if the evaporated is avaliable in Thailand, I've only ever noticed condensed here.

The labels on the tin say that dried milk is part of the contents...oil & lectithin..the rest water

It nearly tastes like 'evaporated 'milk...makes good custard or just poured over fruit and jelly.

I am pretty sure evaporated milk is what is poured on top of iced coffee. Condensed milk is stirred into the coffee first and then evaporated is poured on top. Condensed is more like syrup and is in shorter cans so unless there is another milk product that comes in taller cans and is much thinner than condensed milk then it must be evaporated milk that is pored on top of my coffee.

Watch the ad on the telly when they are making their omelette. Looks like evaporated to me. Available all over the place.
