Pattaya Police discover human trafficking operation

Pattaya: -- Ten Cambodians, suspected of entering Thailand illegally were arrested and a Thai agent, responsible for their safe passage into and out of Thailand was also detained by Police following a car chase in Jomtien, early on Wednesday Morning. A Police patrol had earlier spotted a Bronze Toyota Vigo which they wanted to stop and check. The vehicle failed to stop and a chase through the streets of South Pattaya and Jomtien began. Police noticed a large plastic sheet which appeared to be covering people on the back of the pick-up. Eventually the pick-up was forced to stop on Jomtien Second Road and although the driver managed to escape, the passenger, Khun Gisana aged 24 was arrested. He claimed he was on his way to the border at Satkeow Province to take the Cambodians back to their native country. Police did not believe the story and later found out the ten Cambodians had just arrived in Thailand.
