Many people deeply sympathize with the Americans—they've been through a lot. However, to ensure these events never happen again, an analysis of their causes and consequences is also important. I'm not claiming that this is exactly how it happened, but rather pointing out that, from the perspective of military logic, which balances losses against gains, this is a beneficial military event.
