Switch From Visa

Featured Replies

Atm I have a non-immigrant B visa and work permit.

If i would sell my business, what (and when and how) do I have to do to switch to a Retirement Visa and can I make the change without leaving the country?

If you meet the requirements to switch to retirement you can.

At this time I don't have 800,000 baht on a Thai bank. I have when I sell my business, but it has to be there 3 months before...

Two questions:

1. What is your nationality?

2. If you are old enough to apply for a retirement extension, you must be at least 50. Do you receive any retirement income fromyour country? If so, how much per month?

I am Dutch. 50+

No pension. The problem I have ( i think) is that let's say I sell my business this month I loose my Non Immigrant B visa correct?

And I can not apply for a retirement Visa since 800K must be on the bank for at least 3 month correct?

So what to do...

In that case you would need to get a non-O visa from a neighbouring country, which would give you 90 days on entry and time to season the money. For the first extension it should be there for 2 months only, all next extension 3 months.

Unless you are married to a Thai or have a child with Thai nationality.

Police Order 777/2551 provides the requirements. Useful information pinned at top or a Google will bring it up.
