Sukhumbhand warns floodwater may reach Victory Monument in one day

Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra warned Saturday that the floodwater could flow from the Lat Phrao Intersection to the Victory Monument in one day.

The governor also warned residents of four communities in Din Daeng district to be on alert.

The communities include Bang Sue Canal community, Yu Charoen housing estate on Soi Inthamara 21, and Yu Charoen 3 housing estate.

BMA orders more evacuation on Thonburi side

Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra said that the flooding situaiton on the western side of Bangkok worsened, prompting the city administration to order more evacuations Saturday.

He said the city administration ordered the evacuation of residents of Soi Charone 13 in Tha Phra subdistrict of Bangkok Yai disgtrict and ordered evacuations of residents of four subdistricts in Phasi Charone district - Klong Kwang, Bang Duang, Bang Waek and Bang Chak.
