Mayor says Pattaya ready to accept flood evacuees

PATTYA: -- Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome said Pattaya is ready to accept evacuees from flooded areas of Thailand if relocation centers already opened in Chonburi Province fill up.

The city has readied the Eastern Indoor Sports Stadium, which can accommodate 2,000 evacuees. The facility likely has enough restrooms, but the mayor said six portable toilets are also standing at the ready should the arena be needed.
