Well, I don't know about DTAC, but with 1 2 Call with AIS the latest (last) promotion I saw was 25 hours of internet for 100 Baht. Sounds like a better deal than DTAC and you don't need a work permit, etc to go with 1 2 Call. :o

Hi Ken,thanks foe responding,is there a special name for that 12call card and i get it anywhere?100 Baht is really cheap for 25hours

I've given up on prepaid sims, too expensive. Now I have an Orange post paid account, in my TG's name, and chatting for an hour costs me 18.25bt any network or landline. We also have a True landline and I get a bonus every month from them to use on orange, so my calls cost me very little as opposed to prepaid. Ok I know Orange isn't the best network but I don't seem to have many problems, same with True high speed internet, I think I'm one of the lucky ones! Go post paid using a Thai g/f or friend's name.

The OP seems to have a special interest in GPRS and minimizing their costs. Do Orange offer GPRS on a post-paid account? If so, what is the pricing?

Can anyone provide a link to, or detailed information on, 1-2-Call's pre-paid GPRS offerings? ( both standard and promotional rates )

If you have a Thai bank account try to have them waive the requirement of a work permit by offering that the due amount will be automatically deducted from your bank account.

The following is a scan of a promotion that AIS had with 1 2 Call several months ago. Recently they have a new promotion that I saw which changed the 100 Baht 20 hours to 100 Baht 25 hours. At the time I set it up I just called the AIS number as listed on the bottom of the promotion and a menu walked me thru the set up (*138). Alternatively you can call the AIS call center at 1175. :o

Thanks Ken!

Called *138, went through the English menu and now get 60 hours GPRS per month for 200B on prepay. Got an SMS 2minutes later, put my SIM in my laptop datacard and got online straight away with speeds of 50 Kbps...

Obviously not ADSL speed, but twice as fast as the dialup I get in the apartment - add in the mobility factor and the price and it's quite a bargain!
