Tomorrow am gonna do my yearly extension based on Marriage at the Temporary Office at PTT Samakhi Nonthaburi (will take some photos for other members).

Just wanted to confirm the documents required.

TM7 Application x 2

Passport + copies

TM6 + copies

Yellow Book + copies

Embassy Income letter + copies

Bank Books + copies

Marriage Certificate + copies

Registration in Amphur + copies

Affirmation to Marry + copies

Map to Condo + copies

Pictures + copies

Wife's ID Card + copies

Wife's Blue book + copies

Now, last time the Officer suggested going for a Retirement extension, although am under the required age. If I go this way are the undermentioned documents okay:

Thanks in advance.

I include the passport photos as part of the TM7 Application form.

So seems like everything is good and ready to go.

Will report back after being there, should have photos and Map Grid.

The thing I sometimes forget on the bank book and letter is that the book has to have a transaction on exact day of the letter. Even the bank doesn't always know this. The bank book updates only print date of last change not the current date.

To the OP - you certainly are very thorough.

I was just wondering about a couple of things on your list.

Why include both a yellow book and Registration in Amphur. Mail addressed to you would also probably be sufficient.

Why are you including your Affirmation to Marry + copies. If you have your marriage license and registration this is not needed.

Always good to be prepared but saving paper is a good thing too. Just curious.

@BuckarooBanzai

in my experience, they ask copy of everything whatever piece of paper you bring in :D

@lopburi3

Two months for Thai wife extension of stay.

I have consulted both in Immigration and again confirmed that with Sunbelt, and got the details:

- Two months is sufficient if it is 1st time extending for +1 year;

- if it is already 2nd, 3rd etc - then according to the rule it should be 3 months already

correct me if I'm wrong, but I've especially researched this matter.

You are wrong. It is two months regardless and that is clear in police order 777/2551 and as directed by Bangkok to all immigration offices. Only retirement has the change for first and later.

I like to make sure of everything, the Yellow book and registration could have different addresses if I have moved. I do not use a newer registration I use the original.
