Can I Put An Avatar On E Mail

Can any one tell me if its possible to put a small Avatar on to the e.mails I send ( not an attachment ) and if so how do I do It...? ( simple terms please !!! )

The avatar is just a small graphic file. It will have to go as an attachment. Some e-mail programs can handle an attached graphic inline. That means it will display the graphic at the point in your message where you put it.

As Ice Maiden suggested, some e-mail clients will let you use a graphic as a signature.
