Traffic To Bkk Airport And Check In Time

Featured Replies

Hallo,

Anyone was in BKK airport recently?

In the past, it took us 1 hour to drive to airport, and 40 min to finish all check in process.

I'm not sure if the above time gets longer due to the flood.

Will fly on this Sat... not want to get up too early and sit in airport too long....

Thanks

SS

Took us 80 mins last saturday. The problem is parking which was impossible. We managed to park in Novotel. They say the drop off and pick up is horrendous. Our family going back sun morning but they are just going to get the bus up to save us the hassle.

Check in should be as normal I would think.

I flew out last week, normal traffic to the airport, no problem if you are being dropped off, less people than usual for this time of year in the airport...

I go 3 hours early

Got in late Wednesday night. Lots of cars parked around the arrivals and departures area. Packed. But we got out easily and normal time back to our home. No worries at all. I'm assuming checking in during "normal" hours might be more difficult due to the parked cars.

Flew out last night. Drive from BKK and airport procedures were all as normal.

Flew out last week and back in on Tuesday, the journey to and from the airport was as normal, however the airport itself was quieter than I have seen for some time, even if it is now just one huge parking lot.

Depending where you're coming from, the worst part of the journey will be getting thru Pattaya - depending on time of day.
