Does anyone know whether my business running 2+ years would be able to support me on WP?

I'm currently on Tourist Visa, do I have to return to my origin country to obtain the Non-B visa? or any other countries out side of Thailand?

Many thanks!

Work permits and Non-B Visas are separate issues. You can apply at any consulate, but within the region they require proof that you have applied for a work permit. You can apply for WP while on a Tourist Visa, but must have the "B" Visa for it to issued. The WP is a labor issue, so you would need to discuss with them if your business qualifies or not.

While in Thailand on your tourist visa you can apply for the work permit and you will be given a receipt, called WP3. It is to pick up the work permit when it is ready that you need the non-B visa.

This depends what type of business it is and what the job is that you're trying to get the WP for.

You also need to have 4 Thai staff to get a WP, or 2 if you are married to a Thai national.

I have 4 full time staffs, however not all of them have been paid in the formal way (means Nation Insurance etc.) Will this be taken into account?

You should be able to get a visa, you just might not be able to get an extension from immigration.

Hi Terry, What kind of the extension you talking about?

Normally, how long does Non-B visa last? Can it be extended?

One more question:

How long does it take to issue WP3?

The WP3 is one of the Thai Labour Department application forms for a Work Permit; once your paper work is correct, then you get a WP3 Receipt (small A5 Sized Slip of paper) straight away.

The WP3 Receipt, along with various other Company Paperwork, is required to apply at Thai Consulates for a Single Entry (90 Day) Non Immigrant B Visa in neighboring countries to Thailand.

LOL! No, only employees for who you pay social security and incomes taxes will taken into account.

And by the way, you haven't worked in your company for 2+ years, because if you did, you would have violated the law. I understand you intend to work there, after you have obtained your work permit.
