Khon Kaen Or Korat? Which Would You Rather Live In?

For those of you in Chiang Mai, who have also lived in Korat or KK, what are the pluses and minuses of each? Which place has more potential for investment?

Khon Kaen is building up fast and looks to be a good place for business investment...no real center for Falangs and lacking in Charm but a growing city that seems to be improving....with the airport and train service and the highways that go North and East/West there looks good for manufacturing....maybe not for tourist or high end retail for many years.....

I have lived and worked in Bangkok, Udon, Khon Kaen, Korat, Chiang Mai and Lampang for periods exceeding a year. Korat was at the bottom of my list of the places I liked and Khon Kaen was near the top.
