Dog Rescue Centre

Featured Replies

hi, does anybody know if there is a dog rescue centre in pattaya or outside the area

Yes, near the lake over on the Dark Side. Article about it in this week's Pattaya Mail. Run by an Englishman.

try this link to the mabprachan animal shelter http://www.caliach.c...s/en/index.html
That's the one. Met the boss couple of times, seems genuine and deserves support. I've got 5 dogs, hence the name, all found wandering the streets in Jomtien. Despite what Thais think, given alot of love and some training street dogs make wonderful pets. Most recent addition is a little all black bitch I rescued from the flood waters a couple of months ago, she was only a few weeks old at the time.

Given the bad reports I've heard about Tony's Animal Shelter (not the one mentioned above) you would be best rescueing a dog from there.

Go down any soi late afternoon and you will find a buffet of canines passed out at the side of the road available for immediate rescue.

Don't forget the temples.

I can also only highly recommend the Maprachan/Pong shelter. The dogs are not only fed but also very well taken care of medically.

Don't forget the temples.

You don't want to rescue one of the multitude of canines under the care of Buddah and his henchmen (monks), they choose to live at the temples because they are well fed.
