Ear, Nose, Throat Doc

I just searched the forum looking for recommendations and found this information:

Dr. Rat

Sriphat Medical Center in Maharaj Hospital on Thanon Suthep.

Problem is, can't find a phone number. I would really like to make an appointment first. My Thai is limited, to say the least, and I feel so crap the idea of sitting in a waiting room for over 2 or 3 hours just seems daunting. (Went to the emergency room at Ram already early this morning, paid a small fortune and now the condition is worse)

If anyone can help out with this, I would much appreciate. I did read that he has a clinic on Chang Klan, but doesn't open until 5:30 on week nights. In too much pain to wait that long.

Thanks in advance.

If you went to RAM in the early hours of the morning, you probably didn't see an ENT specialist.

Despite your not so good experience, if you are in pain I'd suggest you go back to RAM this morning and either Dr Chalermpong or Dr Banjong, will be working in the ENT dept from 9am. You won't need to sit and wait for hours (get there about 0830) Also, they will know what the emergency room doctor diagnosed and did to make it worse, as they have your records, whereas another place wouldn't.

Good luck. smile.gif

Funny Ram would have two specialists able to see you right away.

No, it's not funny - they share times in OP.

But I'm not sure which Dr. is on, on what day and time, as they have surgery schedules too.

But there will be one available regardless.

OK I have Dr. Banjong's card.

Mon & Wed 5-8 pm

Tue & Thur 1pm - 8pm

Fri 9-5

Sun 9-2

So it looks like Dr. Chalermpong is on this morning.

He's listed on the recommended TV list that is pinned.

Good luck wherever you go. smile.gif

Thanks for that, and it is a good point about RAM. When I went in (6.am), a real young doctor took a look at me. I explained that the pain in my throat had moved along to the ear as well, he never looked in the ear. He gave some meds that have not been effective at all - cost me a bit though!!! Thought about going back to RAM just to say I want a second opinion from this hospital and don't want to have to pay, seeing as how I was I got no relief after paying close to 3,000 baht.

I'll call right now and try to make an appointment with one of the docs you mentioned. Thanks again Upthos.

get collodial silver from john, the yoga teacheer;http://ganesh-colloidal-silver.com/

He doesn't know what's wrong yet (I don't think) unsure.gif

"Since the 1990s, "colloidal silver", a liquid suspension of microscopic silver particles, has been marketed as an alternative medicine, often claiming impressive "cure-all" qualities. The effectiveness of these products has never been scientifically proven, and in some jurisdictions, it is currently illegal to include such claims in product advertisements". Medical authorities and publications advise against the ingestion of colloidal silver preparations, because of their lack of proven effectiveness and because of the risk of adverse side effects, such asargyria. Historically, colloidal silver was also used as an internal medication to treat a variety of diseases. Their use was largely discontinued in the 1940s, due to the development of safe and effective modern antibiotics and concern about adverse side effects.
