Car Stereo

Featured Replies

i want to replace my car stereo cd player with a new better one that i can plug my mp3 into it...tried the adapter thing but sound not as good as i would like. Does anyone have any recommendations as to a good shop to buy and have them install? Any particular brand or models you like or don't like...not sure if existing speakers would also be upgraded?

thanks for input.

There is a shop across the road (near the traffic lights) from the main Isuzu dealer in town. He sells a lot of high end gear: touch screens, speakers, amps etc. Isuzu use them for a lot of work. Some prices can be quite hefty if your are on a budget.

The one I use is I think the same as Gary recommends, same side as Big C and 1/200 metres before Big C driving south. They do all sorts of vehicle mods, not just sounds. I also highly recommend them. If you're not shy about negotiating you can get some very good discounts.

That sounds about right, as they do other work as well.

That's two R's in Garry CR, no typo :)

Ok Garry :-) I just thought maybe someone had already used a TV id 'Gary' so you went for 'Garry'; I assume that's why we have a 'Harrry', or maybe he's Scottish ;-)

Thanks for the info. My car is pretty old so not really looking for top of the line system but just something that will play my mp3 with decent sound. I assume this shop can do all levels of systems/prices etc? Will check it out.

I always say that my parents could afford the second R :D

The shop across from the Isuzu showroom is called AOD stereo. I had my DVD player that had a USB port for my handydrive installed there. I had a Kenwood installed. Good luck

There is also a place on the road leading from the old bus station to the super-highway. It's on the same side as the bus station almost opposite the big DIY store.
