EC Disqualifies Pheu Thai MP Chatuporn

I seem to recall that Jutuporn was willing to give up his protected M.P, status a while back , however the ability to give up ones protection status wasn't available for some reason or another. Bear in mind he wasn't even an elected m.P,. but a party list M.P.

One is led to wonder whether he was given a seat in parliament as a short term sop and the time has come when he has outlived his usefulness ( whatever that may have been) and now he becomes a ritual sacrifice.

It's my opinion that Jutuporns following within the Red Shirt movement is best described as minimal. His mouth in parliament and out of it has made him a liability to the current administration so now the chop comes.

Looks like the bishop has been relegated to the status of a pawn on the P.T.P. chessboard......

What move might the grand master in Dubai be making next one is inclined to ask with his bishop gone?

Well the G.M. in Dubai still has 1 bishop left, ( Nattawut?) , 2 rooks and above that you know who? B)

This is actually an interesting decision as it now gives those with the power a great way to keep those they dont like away from parliament especially when bearing in mind Jatuporn wasnt convicted of anything by a court. Interesting when considering seperation of power in a parliamentary system and remembering that in parliamentary systems the legilature is considered the supreme body of the triumvarate: government, legislature, judiciary

The whitewash starts here. Probably the same argument could be applied to Arisman. Lying, corruption, violence: Nothing fazes the forum cheerleaders. Particularly the ones who opine 'its not about Thaksin' with a straight face.

251 of Jatuporn's fellow PTP MP's voted down the bogus request to lift his immunity last September.

He was run as a Party-list MP because at # 8 on the roster it absolutely assured him of being in Parliament.

I think his removal from the House comes as a completely unplanned and shocking loss for the Nicaraguan Passport Holder

and his Red Shirts.

Any claim he was prevented from voting by being incarcerated is surely invalidated by the Thai system of postal voting?

He was prevented from voting by Article 100, paragraph (3) of the Constitution which removes the voting privilege from those under detention.

Fugitive ousted ex-PM's, coup d'etat every few years, disqualified MP, vast sums of what possibly is corruption pay-offs disappearing from house safe, illegal constructions, land encroachment, red shirts, yellow shirts, Campaigns For Amnesty, Troops Killing foreign Cameraman, etc,etc

Is there another country that could come anywhere near Thailand with news headlines like these. You certainly can't say Thai politics is dull.

Wouldn't it be something if Nicaragua suddenly took some sort of action against him? My guess is he spread a little bit of cash there, probably buying property or providing seed money toward a business or two. If they seized all he had there he probably wouldn't even notice. On the other handed if he started to accumulate international warrants from other countries things can get pretty entertaining.
