I am an Indian citizen and have a lay over in Bangkok due to some crazy fligh schedule for a day and a half. I understand that I need a transit visa.

My question is - Can I get a transit visa at BKK airport? I am travelling from San Francisco to India via Bangkok.

I remember reading a thread on exactly this subject not too long ago, and here it is. You will benefit from reading it, but please don’t get as paranoid as that gentlemen “softvirgo” did. Your visa on arrival will be a very simple and straight-forward matter, and you will be a welcome guest in Thailand.
