Sukothat Guest House

Featured Replies

Hi,

I stayed at a charming little hotel, or guest house in Sukothai 6 or 7 years ago. It had little water ways and small bridges leading to the rooms and it had a nice restaurant. The other nice thig was it was located just a few block from the main temples. Does anyone know the one I am referring to? I'd like to stay there again in Jan. Would be nice to know the name and contact.

Thanks,

Mike

I think you are talking about The Lotus Village

http://www.lotus-village.com/index_english.htm

It wasn't The Lotus, but I checked that out and it looks like a good place. My place was just a short walk to the Historic Park. The Lotus looks like a tuk-tuk ride to the park. What else is recommended to do while in Sukothai...I'm married w/ family?

Try this one,

Orchid Hibiscus guest house.

Located in old city at the border of the old city walls and historical park.

Friends stayed there and said it was great. Owned by Italian guy with Viet wife.

Makes great coffee I hear.

Thanks for the recommendation. The one I stayed at I finally found, called The Thai Village Sukhothai, but I think I will stay at The Hibiscus? Kids need a pool!

Besides the Historic Park, what other things are good to visit while in Sukhothai?

Where would you guys stay if you were going to Sukhothai? In the city center area or out by the park? Is there much to do in the city?

I would stay at the Lotus Village but if you need a pool then use Orchid Hibiscus.

I lived in Sukhothai for a short while.

Nothing much to visit as you can see from this list
