December 14, 201114 yr hello all, i'm driving a lancer, 2000cc, 4g63na engine, manual gear. Pretty good car i must say. Recently i noticed my car is vibrating while accelerating. it vibrates only during the acceleration but at constant speed, it is just fine. i'm failing to understand the problem, is it the problem of gear box or any belt associate with the engine bay? i can also feel some glitch while turning... or could it be an AXLES problems? problem number 2 : I drive my car mostly on LPG. while on fuel, i have noticed it is not getting the power like before. In the morning, i need to wait at least for 2 minutes before i can drive on fuel. i guess somehow fuel is not reaching to engine. any idea what is the problem? just wanna have some idea before i head towards the thai garage thank you. December 14, 201114 yr Problem 1 . Perhaps inner drivshaft joint worn could try just repacking with grease for a quick fix, when turning this joint if worn could feel knobbly if clicking outer CV joint gone as well.
December 14, 201114 yr Did you try to put the gear to neutral then step on accelerator? So you can know the shaking is coming from engine or elsewhere.

December 15, 201114 yr Look into the following:: Engine Mounts worn.... Gearbox mount worn.... CV-boots maybe torn and grease is low... check suspension bushings..... as for the lpg, check pump... check feed lines, seems like drop in pressure....
December 15, 201114 yr Clutch pressure plate. Once the clutch is engaged/locked up there will be no vibes, only when using the clutch on launch will it judder if warped, knackered or oil contaminated. :jap:
December 15, 201114 yr Clutch pressure plate. Once the clutch is engaged/locked up there will be no vibes, only when using the clutch on launch will it judder if warped, knackered or oil contaminated. :jap: If it engages properly, yerse !! me's only said that because MGB had once upon a time starting vibration on acceleration and it was fine once a new pressure plate was fitted with new clutch plates, springs in pressure plate knackered.

I had a 1964 MGB, loved it. You have started me off, ' B ' engines and you could get it race prepared for little cost, great little car 1800cc electronic overdrive 3rd and top. It was a car that learn me about wire wheels, the young whipper snappers here would probably not know about them. Going up North M1 doing a 100mph plus, noticed taking curve's the MG was moving from side to side weird stuff, keep having to correct. So me's think's tyre problem, took in in for tyre check and the guy said your spokes need truing up and the wheels balanced and reset. Of course I said, I thought it was that, not wanted to lose face.
December 15, 201114 yr Try some new spark plugs and leads, they tend to break down under load causing a misfire, and vibration, but run ok at steady speed..

Sadly my old girl had the 3 Main bearing crank which was l think replaced on new stuff the following year to 5 .
December 16, 201114 yr I once had a similar experience. Turned out the wheels needed balancing. That fixed it.

December 20, 201114 yr Any chance of pics. Nah, she's been garaged in Surrey for 15 years following a leaking radiator that caused an overheated engine which in turn made something break. Pre- digital camera age. Last time I decided to take her to the Doctor was 5,5 half years ago, just before I relocated to LOS. I'll get a new chance to sort her out when I move back in January. Probably my last chance before the old man nicks her so that he can take her out on a date next spring...
