December 14, 201114 yr I am passing through Bangkok for two hours on my way to Kenya in transit. Do I need a TRANSIT VISA FOR THIS. please help before its too late. knowledge
December 14, 201114 yr It may be helpful to know which airlines you are using and where you are arriving from.
December 14, 201114 yr If you are changing airlines for your onward trip to Kenya and only have two hours transit time, you should just go to the transfer desk inside the arrival terminal when you arrive. If you do not go through immigration a transit visa is not required. Two hours isn't really a lot of time even if you are continuing on the same flight. Get a beer or go to duty free.
December 15, 201114 yr The key is your passport - but if OZ or Kenya you will be allowed travel without visa for at least 12 hours connecting time so two hours connection will not be a problem.
December 15, 201114 yr Knowledge, visa requirements depend on the traveller's nationality. This site will help you find the answer: http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations/plan_flight/international_travel_information/visa_passport_information/index.jsp The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
December 16, 201114 yr To my understanding, regardless of your nationality you do not need a visa for Thailand if you will not leave the transit area of the airport. You won't pass through immigration, you will not officially enter the country. If you wanted to leave the transit area, then you'd have to pass through immigration and yes, it would depend on your nationality, as to whether or not they'd let you in without a visa. But with only 2 hours, it wouldn't make any sense at all to do that.
December 16, 201114 yr Most nationalities are only allowed 12 hours without obtaining a transit visa.
