December 16, 201114 yr Finished my last pack now im on the hunt for more. I have tried the thai pork jerky which isn,t bad but I can never find any that is spicy and when I ask them to make me a kilo of it spicy they look at me like im from the moon. I dont have a dehydrator or oven so making it is not really an option, anyways im lazy. So does anyone know where to buy beef jerky in the Bangkok area? Or are there any entrepreneurs willing to make some, I know more than a few people would would be regular customers.
December 16, 201114 yr I make jerky up in Chiangmai, I have dehydrators and jerky guns which can make either round stick style like Slim Jims or regular flat pieces. I won't be back to Chiangmai for a bit though, as I'm on a business trip, but if you P.M. me I can get your address and send you some free samples. They're all custom ordered, so I can make them with any flavour and as spicy as you want.

December 19, 201114 yr Just buy some round steak at Tesco and pan fry it, it will be as chewy as jerky!! I f you eat a lot, its worth getting a dehydrator, as all that required is a mix of spices and liquid smoke, and turn the machine on!
December 21, 201114 yr but even if you had all the gear to make jerky what kinda meat would you use?...where I live beef is non-existent at the local market and the local tescos has only occasionally got it...but I guess that you can make jerky outta anything...kippers are a bit like jerked fish? when I worked up the NW woods in the US at the little country store where we used to buy beer on the way home in the crew bus during hunting season the proprietor had a big jar of homade chunky jerked venison or elk on offer at the check out counter...man oh man, never had nothing like it...sublime... locally, howzabout jerked monitor lizard, etc... I made some -- well, it was either buffalo or ox - jerky. I dont like the chopped and formed type, so I sliced, marinated, smoked, and then dehydrated it. Taste was excellent - came out perfect in that department. However, it was quite chewy - next time I will pound the slices with a tenderizer before drying.
