Documents For Translation

Featured Replies

Sorry to bother you again, Another question I am afraid!

To recap, I am applying for a UK Visit Visa for my wife (Thai National)

Which of the following documents need translating from Thai to English?

1. Thai Marriage cetrificate and associated papers

2. Her House Registration

3. Her ID Card

4. Her Bank Book front page (Her name is in Thai)

5. My Thai Work Permit

Cheers in advance for your help...

And yes, it is absolutely tipping down here in Phuket, and has been for a few days. We are meant to be holiding a football tournement here at the school tomorrow (Phuket 7's) but I think all the pitches will be swimming pools!

Water polo anyone?

Cheers again

Matt

All of them.

It does not actually say anywhere that I can find in the guidelines that documents need to be translated, but it makes obvious sense to do so.

And how much should one pay for a translation?. I plan to go out tomorrow to get this done, and obviously do not want to get ripped off! Also any advice of places to get this done in Phuket - I have heard of one place at the bottom of Rang Hill in Phuket Town, anybody been there?

Don't know about Phuket, but in Bangkok no more than 200baht per page, often less if you shop around.

One error in my previous reply, it's not really necessary to have her I.D. card translated as her passport will prove her identity. Apols.

Super, Thanks.

I will be able to go out armed with info tomorrow then... as long as it stops raining!
