Apparently my documents and the information I need to provide to the embassy as a sponsor need to be checked / approved at the Notary Office before we submit our application at the Portuguese Embassy in Bangkok.

This is because I am British, living and working in Portugal and I want a visit visa for my Thai girl to come here.

Does anyone have any idea exactly what needs to be done regarding this? Do I just take my entire folder in and have it looked at, checked, and signed off? And by who? I have asked the embassy but so far they haven't been very specific.
