CWMcMurray
Can any one advise what the requirements are for a non-B multiple entry visa in neighboring countries? What documents does the employer need to provide in order to get this type of visa? Are any of the local countries better than others? (e.g. Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia)
digitalchromakey
Here is the link to the MFA Website Non Immigrant Type B Visa with the generic paperwork requirements for the visa. In Malaysia, as regards a Multiple Entry Non B Visa, Kuala Lumphur require a Current Work Permit with 8 months or more validity; Penang currently also require a minimum Company Registration Capitalisation of 8 Million Baht, I am not sure as to their minimum WP validity period. Penang normally answer the phone if you call about visa requirements, but KL often do not, particularly if you call via Skype. Here is a link to the KL Website Royal Thai Embassy Kuala Lumphur Singapore has a history of not issuing Non B Multiple entry visas to applicants, even with the correct paperwork . CWMcMurray
Don't you need a non-b visa to get a work permit? If so, how is it possible if you need a work permit to get a non b visa??? .... so which came first... the chicken or the egg?
lopburi3
You need a non immigrant visa entry to have the work permit issued but most people only require a single entry visa for that and then can extend there stay for one year at Immigration so the multi entry is more tightly controlled. You do not need the work permit to obtain a single entry (but you may need the receipt for application/W3). Only if you can not extend would the multi entry be desired and you can return to obtain that after the work permit is issued on the single entry. CWMcMurray
Ok, so if someone wanted non B multiple entry... First would need to apply for WP and then go over seas for single entry non B Then once they have wp, then back overseas for non b multi entry, correct? You would get your WP, then extend your stay for a year, and buy a multiple re-entry permit for 3800 baht at Immigration. Forget about the initial multiple-entry B visa. You won't get one. Just get the single, then your work permit, then the extension of stay (1 year) and the re-entry permit.
lopburi3
Not everyone can obtain a one year extension of stay so for those needing yes get single/get work permit/get multi entry next time if Consulate will issue.
