dafyduck
Racoons and theislands snake population The entire snake polulation was decimated over a 100 years ago all over the carribean region by the sugar plantation companies by shipping in raccoons which were then left free to roam and live on the islands.today all the islands are still snake free.Has this option ever been considered by the locals over the years or are snakes considered part of the cultural heritage and therefore protected?. fiddlehead
Nature knows best. Bringing in non-indigenous animals is a good way to create a disaster. Ever hear of Kudzu? Boars imported as sporting animals for hunters? Gypsy moths? Know what happened to the American Chestnut tree?

Jimi007
If only mosquito had a natural predator. I wish! As to raccoons, bad idea! They kill chickens and other animals. Snakes kill rodents.

keestha
Bringing in non-indigenous animals is a good way to create a disaster. Nice try OP, but poster quoted above is right. Introducing an exotic species wreaks havoc to the ecosystem. Think of rabbits and camels in Australia.
